Hello. 
With a keen interest in understanding the intricacies of learning and memory, I perform rodent in-vivo electrophysiological experiments, particularly delving into the hippocampus. My work involves designing mathematical models to elucidate learning and memory representations, as well as exploring deficits associated with conditions like Alzheimer’s disease. I am also design brain-computer interfaces and memory prosthetics, aiming to bridge the gap for individuals suffering from cognitive impairments. 
In addition to this thread of questions, I am also involved in designing novel neural implants using 2D materials (like Graphene). I have explored the biocompatibility and neurocompatibility of these materials, paving the way for advancements in neural interface technology.
My academic journey has been marked by excellence, earning me numerous accolades including top-10 ranks in state-wide examinations of the 10th and 12th grades, National Talent Search Scholarship, National Undergraduate Merit Scholarship, Indian Academy of Sciences Research Fellowship, and recognition as a Rhodes Scholarship National Finalist. Outside academia, I have also worked industrial research intern at Kilby Labs of Texas Instruments and has been a Technical Advisor at Lab91 (a start-up aiming to perform dry-transfer of high-quality graphene films to potentially replace silicon in current-day electronics).
Within the academic community, I am an active member of IEEE, currently serving as the treasurer of IEEE-TEMS chapter of UT Austin. In India, I also started a science and general quiz-series and volunteered teaching underprivileged children in rural areas. 

My passion for music has enabled me to obtain a professional-grade (Vidwath) certification as a mridangam artist and gave my debut performance at the age of 9 in Mysore, India. Currently, in the realm of music composition and performance I perform as a songwriter and vocalist for the band 'Maanas', where we seamlessly blend classical, blues, and rock, and folk influences.
